Welcome to the Datacor Product Ideas Board! This space provides you with an opportunity to shape the future of our solutions. Your input is crucial, and we can't wait to hear your innovative ideas for enhancing our products.

Overview


Here’s how it works:

  • Submit Your Ideas: Share your thoughts on new features or enhancements you'd like to see. Your submissions will be viewable by the rest of the Datacor customer community. Please do not submit sensitive or proprietary information.
  • Vote on Ideas: Browse ideas from other users and vote for the ones you find most valuable. The more votes an idea receives, the higher its visibility.
  • Comment for Context: Provide additional insights or explain how a particular idea could benefit your processes. This helps us and others understand the impact of a suggestion.
At Datacor, we strive to align our roadmap to deliver features that create the most value for customers. While we are enthusiastic about hearing your ideas, please understand that we cannot implement every suggestion. However, every piece of feedback is crucial for shaping our product roadmap and improving our offerings.

We commit to periodically updating you on the progress of highly voted ideas. Ideas that receive less traction may not be updated regularly, but every contribution is greatly appreciated and considered.

Idea Status Definitions

Each product idea is assigned a status. The status communicates where the idea is in its lifecycle. Datacor product ideas generally go through the following status lifecycle:  Need Your Opinion > Active Discovery > In Progress > Done.

Need Your Opinion
Datacor customer-submitted ideas are initially created with the Need Your Opinion status. Please vote on and comment on ideas in this status to help Datacor understand the relative importance of the idea for your business. Ideas will remain in this status collecting votes and customer feedback until they are selected for Active Discovery. Ideas that do not gain sufficient traction with the Datacor customer community, or fall outside of Datacor's product strategy, may be canceled without further exploration.

Active Discovery
The Datacor Product Management team will move ideas into Active Discovery once an idea has gained sufficient votes and comments from the Datacor customer community. Ideas selected into Active Discovery status will generally align with Datacor's product strategy and are expected to deliver value to most customers. Upon completing discovery, feasible ideas with a sound value proposition will be advanced to to the roadmap for delivery. In some instances, ideas that are determined to be infeasible will be closed.

In Progress
When the Datacor team begins to build an idea, it will be moved to the In Progress status. Once an idea is moved to In Progress, we have a high level of confidence that it will be delivered.

Done
Ideas will be moved to the Done status once they have been delivered and are generally available for use. Additional information about the idea will be publicized within Product Help and Release Notes

Frequently Asked Questions


Who may create an Ideal Portal user account?
  • Datacor customer users that wish to submit ideas, or vote and comment on other ideas, may create an account. 
  • Account creation is not restricted to certain types of users.
  • There is no limit to the number of user accounts a Datacor customer may create.
Are Datacor customer users encouraged to comment on ideas?
  • Yes. If you have valuable information about the idea that you would like to share with Datacor and other customers, please feel free to comment on it.
  • Helpful information may include whether your business also needs the feature, or how to address the problem today.
  • If you're aware of a current solution in the software, pointing that out can also be helpful.
